If you have ANY OTHER OPTION, TAKE IT! Save your money and your mental health and take the extra time to find a new location. This landlord makes it UNMISTAKEABLY clear that he cares more about lining his pockets then his does about the safety of the people living in the house. He charges more than the room is worth in a house that has more issues than it's worth. He moves in anyone and everyone with not so much as even running a free background check on them.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Landlord does zero background check on tenants. The last three tenants he moved in all have had serious issues. We have warned him multiple times in the past of alarming behaviors and were all blown off. The house itself is subpar with cheap fixes done. He has crammed 11 people into this property collecting over $1,000 from each of us every month but never invests back into the house at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Had a great stay for almost two months here while completing an internship at Vanderbilt. Was very close and great location. Was set up with everything I needed. Tenants were very responsive as well.

The house is great and well kept. Touby and Tina are great landlords that were quick to respond to any issues that occurred.

I enjoyed dealing with outpost. It’s also very convenient that you can extend your stay as you like and you’re not tied to a long term lease.

WARNING:Major Health Risks, Privacy Violations, and Harassment"I cannot warn you strongly enough to stay away from this property. My experience here with my 80-year-old mother was a safety and health disaster. Hazardous Conditions: The attic was infested with black mold, which she refused to address, until I spoke again about it. Eventually forcing us to move for our health. Zero Privacy: The landlords (fam)directly behind the unit & those men would try to look in through the gate. We felt constantly watched and unsafe. Utility Fraud: They use a 'make-believe' calculation for water and electricity. I strongly suspect the back house was tapping into our utilities while we were forced to pay the bill. Harassment: When I raised concerns, the landlord resorted to intimidation tactics—sending people to pound on our door and stare into the house to frighten us. Infestations: The backyard was overrun with mice. This landlord is deceptive and creates a hostile living environment. Do not rent!

Had to move to another unit closer to the leasing office due to upstairs neighbors being drug dealers and constantly throwing parties that the police were busting. The leasing office would not allow us to break our current lease and forced us to stay on the property despite us feeling unsafe. There were constantly roaches and maintenance issues within each unit that never were fixed or acknowledged.

This is a great place to live. I’m glad that no one smokes here. In the place where I lived before it was impossible to breathe because the smell of smoke was everywhere. Here everything is clean and well designed. The neighborhood is good and the staff is very responsive.

I lived at 210 Lewis Ave for a few months and honestly it was a pretty good experience. The area feels real and lived in, not touristy, and I liked being able to walk to small coffee shops and just sit outside in the evenings. It felt like actual Brooklyn life. The kitchen ended up being the main social spot. A couple of times I planned to just heat up dinner and go to my room, and somehow ended up talking for an hour about random life stuff with people I had just met.

Lia rents a bedroom in her 1 bedroom apartment. The rent is cheap. But at the cost of your sanity. Her bed is in the living room and you have to get past it to get to the bedroom. She does not work and there are no locks on the bedroom door. The bedroom itself is very dark - the window is under a hedge of trees. You may save money, but do your homework before moving in. Oh, and she has many cats.

Lived here two years, had numerous issues with the landlords and the apartment itself. Very noisy neighbors, landlord let me go without hot water for two weeks and only sent $200 refund for it but ignored my numerous texts and phone calls asking for it to be fixed. unit doesn't have a working laundry unit but they advertise they do. Terri is extremely rude and very late on replying to emails or texts, a lot will go unanswered. Christina is not much better, I let them know I will have an ESA animal moving in and they told me i needed to get the cat declawed and kept pressing me to do so. I find that extremely inconsiderate and apathetic as that is inhumane to do to cats.

Staying at June Homes on West 20th Street was a really solid experience. The apartment felt comfortable and lived-in, not like a short-term rental that’s missing basics. The room was bright, quiet, and easy to settle into, which mattered a lot to me day to day. The location was a huge plus, Chelsea is walkable, well connected, and full of cafés, groceries, and places to unwind after work. It felt like real New York living, not a temporary setup. What stood out most was how smooth everything felt overall.

Warning: unprofessional and hostile, look elsewhere Dishonest management: given false information on the history of the unit and discovered later that the landlords had a hidden history of conflicts between the residents. Unreasonable expectations: building has poor sound insulation yet landlords and tenants expect total silence. We were harassed for everyday tasks and we tried to compromise and set boundaries but landlords sided with unreasonable complaints we had evidence against. Harassed over utilities: Utilities are split between upstairs, downstairs, and backyard cottage to the landlord's "discretion". He harassed us over usage despite the fact we were responsible for the costs. Lack of privacy and peace: We felt uncomfortable and anxious at home because the landlord's aggressive management and refusal to mediate disputes fairly. The landlords are more interested in long term interests than an honest living space. They yell, lie, and ignore whatever is convenient for them.

I am submitting this review due to a pattern of harassing, discriminatory, and bad-faith property management practices by Harris 808 Properties LLC during our tenancy. Our household includes individuals with disabilities. We made multiple good-faith attempts to request reasonable accommodations and communicate disability-related needs. Harris 808 Properties failed to engage in an interactive process and instead escalated enforcement actions that disproportionately targeted disability-related accommodations, creating a hostile and stressful living environment. Throughout our tenancy, we received repeated and aggressive communications threatening lease violations and termination, often related to matters that had already been disclosed, were legally protected, or previously addressed. The volume and tone of these notices felt retaliatory rather than corrective. Additionally, legitimate maintenance and habitability issues were delayed, minimized, or left unresolved.

Warning for those looking to move in at 10741 northgate st in Culver City. Do NOT rent or lease with this woman! Horrible attitude, disgusting behavior. Threw out my family and myself property within 2 days of us leaving the house. We were supposed to be given 18 days to get our property. did NOT give any warning or notice. Unlawfully went inside our home, recorded as well. I am absolutely heartbroken and furious she threw out our property. She had my childhood dogs collar who had passed away also thrown out that I will NEVER be able to get back. I am completely devastated and heartbroken.

I rented a room in Mesa, AZ 85204 from March–September 2025 from landlord Michael Cates. I paid rent on time (often early), followed all house rules, and never initiated political conversations. After Charlie Kirk’s death, Mr. Cates asked my opinion of him. I said I did not support his beliefs. Immediately afterward, I received a notice to vacate and multiple hostile text messages, including: “It is time to be strong and rid the world of your stupidity,” “He was one of the few people willing to talk to you people,” comparisons to porn stars with a Charlie Kirk video, “use your brain,” “stop being so emotional,” and “the world will not tolerate this behavior any longer.” He also wrote condescending comments directly on my personal groceries in the shared fridge and restricted access to shared household items while I was still under lease. All of this is documented with screenshots and payment records and has been submitted to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

https://portal-txbrazos.tylertech.cloud/BrazosPortal/, click the smart search button and look up "Mahapatra, Rupak". Landlord didn't only steal the deposit, he tried to use the appeal process to not pay and a lien had to be placed on his property. Buyer beware.

Rupak is an abusive asshole. He writes his own leases and tries to pass them off as standard although several classes are illegal. He will steal your deposit and tries to claim you damaged his property to scare you into fixing his properties. If you want to avoid a nightmare do not rent from him, it's not worth it. You will not find a single tenant in his properties who has had a good experience.

Exteemely poorly managed building since new owner purchased and acquired the building in Summer of 2017. He has taken away free carports, free storage, and now charges for these former free amenities. He continues to raise the parking fees, also. He has gotten rid of our security system, and dismantled the rear electric gate so that any intruder can get onto the property at any time. We no longer have pest control, a gardener, or any access to water the outside plants/foliage. All outside watering has been abolished. Some of the good-hearted tenants sweep the courtyard and fill up water buckets to water the outside plants. He refuses to re-install any security measures to keep out criminals, all because of an unwillingness to spend money. This building is under rent-control, built in 1963. He looks for any possible way to charge us additional fees. The latest charge he wants to impose is a $75 fee for trash and sewer. We are a 13-unit apartment complex.

Landlords who exhibited extreme classist attitude. There is a huge hole in the wall that you can walk through between two of the units. One tenant had slugs coming out of his shower faucet. Horrible mold problem, including toxic black mold. Landlords totally unresponsive regarding possessions lost and health problems caused by dank environment. A PG&E contractor found a water leak in my wall heater in 2023 which they never repaired. In 2025, PG&E contractor asked them to clean the air vent in my heater which had never been cleaned. And when the HVAC man took the face of the heater off, there was rust on the inside. They cleaned the air vent and replaced the heater, but they didn't repair the water leak which could lead to very dangerous problems. When I was using that wall heater, it was broadcasting mold spores and mycotoxins all over my unit. When I was afraid to use the wall heater for those reasons, I suffered through two winters of 50 to 55° temperatures and 70% humidity.

Horrible landowner overall. Lived in my home for more than 17 years with my family, her and her husband ended up kicking us out, they went into our rooms and removed our door handles and took our property. She ended up refusing us access to the property to get our items and ended up tossing our property out without letting us know. She also recorded our home without consent and had recorded us as intentionally to use the recordings against us. She would show up without warning everyone. Very nasty and rude personality and behavior. Never fixed anything inside the house when informed. Would stalk us online to use information against us. Always mean and rude for the past 17+ years. It’s insane she’s still in business!! Absolutely no sympathy or respect whatsoever. Cannot take responsibility at all for her actions. Charging plugs were left exposed and even unusable even after letting landlord know. Any damages to the house she was aware of and did absolutely nothing. Horrible place.

Communication was poor landlord and wife were never on the same page. Wife wasn’t aware of things going on , that me and my partner had already discussed about with her husband and she would bug us about those things and how he didn’t keep her in the loop. Which made no sense bc she hired a property manager, who told us not to communicate with her since she’s busy with a newborn.I had issues with the deposit, they were making us responsible for the microwave after we moved out, clamming the microwave not shutting . we had a video from our move out date where the microwave door was shut and a picture . the landlord acalled me saying the property manager wanted to go to court just waiting for their go since i did not agree and should pay for microwave and sue us 4 the month of October even tho property manager took 3 wks to do walkthrough, we moved out sep 30th . They changed contract and added addendums, wife wanted to prohibit us from flushing toilet paper and so much more!

Caution for Future Renters – 414 Skyline Dr, San Ramon, CA I rented this home for Jul 22 - Sep 25. While the property was livable, I experienced serious issues with landlord conduct, unresolved safety hazards, and communication. A shower door fell and injured my child due to a hidden structural issue. Later, I was blamed for unrelated water damage and confronted aggressively by one of the owners in front of my child. Despite my objections, they withheld a portion of my deposit for repairs. If you rent here, document everything, clarify responsibilities in writing, and know your tenant rights. This is not a complaint—just an honest account shared to help others.

1. My apartment is cold, they did not turn on heat like I asked them to do last night. I had to create heat by running hot water for steam and running my oven. 2. Water pressure is low here and it takes too long for water to get hot. 3. There are so many roaches around here. It seems they don't do regular pest control service. Pray I don't see any mice. Yikes!! 4. This building has leaks everywhere. They have a bucket under one of the first floor pipes. 5. There is usually a horrible sewage smell in the lobby. The only thing that combats it is the scent of fresh laundry from the laundry room. 6. Someone keeps coming on and off the elevator on my floor all the time and all they do is stand there like they are monitoring something on their device. VERY WEIRD! 7. Management is not very communicative. They ignore calls and emails. They were sure nice to me when they were showing me my apartment though. Sales game!

5129 south harper in chicago, il. I feel like their maintenance janitors are very antagonistic toward tenants that just live normally in their apartments. Every time I got a text or call to my phone today I heard extremely loud noises in response to my phone going off. They made noise that was so intense that my lights flickered and I could feel the floor vibrating. They could be doing real property damage by their reactions toward me. I noticed that some other tenants turned their music up just to deal with their noises. What's so ironic is that they feel like they can make all the noise they want but when other tenants make any kind of noise they have a problem with it. They do not respect other tenants way of living in apartments that they pay rent to live in. They retaliate and antagonize tenants by threatening them with noise. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I EXPERIENCED THIS AT THIS BUILDING. It's totally disrespectful and I'm not about to be intimidated by their people.

Avoid this property and landlord as if your life depends on it. “Black Mold” is the reason I am posting this review. This property is infested with Black Mold. The landlord and management company are aware of it, however, they refuse to fix it. All they want to do is hide it by painting over it which will take about a year to reveal itself. At this point no matter how many times you request for the mold issue to be fixed, they will do nothing. Finally, this landlord from hell files a retaliatory law suit for us to move out. He claimed that we did not pay him June’s rent where in fact we had and lied to the court in order to evict us wrongfully. He set us up by playing nice on one end and approving a partial payment for the month of June for the repairs we had done around the house, on the other hand he used that partial payment as the reason to evict us. Our mistake was that we never responded to the suit thinking he would drop it as he was playing nice on this end. Shady behavior!!!!

Landlord is very quick to respond however when addressing issues he may not actually resolve them. Several outlets create a spark nor work so be careful, I have brought this issue up and no resolve.Close to base however 2.3k for rent not including utilities for a townhome was a bit expensive considering the utilities despite living frugally avg 200-350 a month you are better off going to an apartment with included utilities.lawn care is your responsibility and the main floor has water damage from the previous tenant which caused lifting and it can be dangerous to walk on top of on the way to the kitchen due to the sliding. Third floor gets insanely hot and there are no ceiling fans or lights in any bedroom . The neighbors are very nice/quiet however their dogs pee right outside the door so it’ll always smell like dog urine especially when it rains. The dryer is electric and requires longer dry times. The landlord of this property has absolutely no respect for his tenants, or their privacy. He's disrespectful of the fact that you're a rent paying tenant of his property and that even though you own the property, you cannot do whatever you want, and enter the house whenever you want, without the permission of the tenant. Though I told him how inconvenienced my infant kids were with his near daily showings late into the night (mostly post 7pm), and asked him to set few days of the week, including weekends for showings, he just retorted with we will enter the house, regardless of our concerns. I am glad we're leaving this place, and wouldn't wish it upon anyone to deal with such an empathetic landlord. So yeah I would definitely avoid this landlord if you have any other option, as there are better places out there with landlords with much more integrity and respect than this person

DO NOT RENT FROM 5129 S. HARPER in Chicago, IL 60615. They go by 5129 S HARPER LLC The building is not safe. The maintenance staff which are Mexican guys, they spy on people. There is also a former tenant named Cordero who was evicted back in august 2024 who still illegally stays in several apts in this building (units 401, 403, 502, 503) and he does the same thing. They hack and watch what people search on their wifi networks, they watch what you're doing in real time. The building owners and the property managers know all about what they do and they don't do anything about it. The only thing this landlord cares about is collecting rent money. They do bare minimum maintenance. They don't do regular pest management, lots of roaches and sometimes mice. The lobby smells of sewage, they use incense in the open lobby to hide the stench which is not safe for small children. It took them over 10 years to finally replace the broken mailboxes. The washers/dryers still don't work properly.

Acts very nice initially…. Once a week or so passes, there are multiple rules. Not to mention you have to deal with all the dogs that jump on you any time you walk to your room in the day time. Even though there is a set price for rent, she complains the water bill is too high, turns the water off and charges more money than initially agreed upon. No kitchen access. Fridge and microwave in garage - not clean. Accused me of lying why I needed to move out. Glad to be OUT!!!

Rented for a couple of years. Paid on time every time. Maintenance was done by a handyman. AC was broken every summer and the handyman recommended replacing the AC but the landlord juat wanted to do repairs. Leak in the roof happened. Anyway, all that was acceptable and we had a good relationship until the end of lease when the landlord tried to charge a very high cleaning fee. I would recommend asking lots of questions about the security deposit. It seems to me that this landlord was planning from the start to charge an exorbitant cleaning fee regardless of the condition in which the property was returned. The property was returned at the same level of cleanliness at which it was given to me. It is just very shady business regarding security deposits that some landlords involve themselves in. They seem to think the security deposit is theirs to keep, which is why Assembly Bill 2801 came into effect in April 2025. Stay informed & dont let landlords try to pull a fast one on YOUR money

Landlord bought property in August and has been doing renovations ever since. Starts at 6 AM sometimes and stays until 8;pm a LOT making a ridiculous amount of noise. No consideration for tenants and their needs. Hallway is chronically torn up, filthy and has his construction stuff laying all over. Snow and ice removal and anything else that needs to be done on property gets put on the back burner due to renovations taking top priority. 10/10 would NOT recommend

This property has gotten worse over the years with frequent plumbing backups due to main line issues, break-ins, frequent basement flooding, broken laundry machines, among others. We were left without hot water for over a month before code enforcement was called to force repairs. Afterwards, maintenance became retaliatory and non-responsive to requests by entering multiple times without providing notice and performing ineffective repairs. These numerous ineffective repairs (snaking 2x, draino 2x), unnecessarily delayed the resolution of a main line clog causing my kitchen sink backup repeatedly for two weeks straight. It was unusable. Corporate doesn’t respond to anything. The office staff are all temporary and unaware of the issues. Now, they have covered up an active leak with plaster instead of repairing it. The water damage is increasing by the day and mold is visible. These people should be criminally charged for violating tenant rights and habitability requirements. AVOID!

This is the worst Management I have ever dealt with. Putting in Maintenance Requests is ridiculous, they either take 2-3 weeks to complete the request OR they just put “Work Completed” when they didn’t fix a damn thing. Communication is also the worst I have ever dealt with. You try calling, it just says “all your answers will be found online.” RIDICULOUS. Oh and don’t forget that you can’t even go into the main office with an actual appointment to speak with them, which is extremely difficult because they don’t even answer your calls or call you back after leaving MULTIPLE messages. The property is taken care of TERRIBLY! The “Maintenance” workers I have seen just like to drive around in their Rangers, smoking their cigarettes, and not doing a damn thing. I have lived here for 3 years now and my Unit Front Door has been broken for majority of that time, it’s a very unsafe place to live so if you have children, I would definitely NOT recommend this place, anyone can get in.

Instead of giving a written notice of any violation (ours was a noise complaint from downstairs because our son had just learned to crawl) the property manager Imad will approach you physically threatening eviction even if it is within the first month of living here. As well as, instead of formally asking if tags for a Rx7 ‘91 Mazda is up to date you will be threatened with being towed. (Tags are paif for and up to date we just hadnt put the stickers on). Even maintenance guys gave complained to me about the way he treats them. He will not give you 24 hr notice of fire alarm testing either and will be upset if you ask about the situation. Lovely location just horrible property management. I suspect black mold in the bathroom walls but he will not address and blames the bathroom ventilation. (Which doesnt have an exhaust and that violates CA building code)

This landlord is a liar and thief. He scammed me out of my safety deposit and made my tenancy unnecessarily stressful. If you want to rent any of his properties, I suggest talking to the current tenants. You should also read you lease very carefully. He usually says he got it off the internet and it's a standard lease. He actually writes the lease himself and most of the clauses on it will be used against you at a later time. He also likes to add things between signings. Save yourself the headache and look for another landlord, his properties are definitely not worth the additional headaches.

I rented from Rupak a couple of years ago and it was a nightmare. I still have PTSD from his emails, text messages, and overall behavior. As an example, he resorted to saying I had to clean and be out of the house for tenant showings or he would fine us and sew us. This was not true, but rather a scare tactic so newer tenants could not see the look of grief and dissatisfaction with him as a landlord. He will rope you in by saying he is a Physics professor at TAMU and you should trust him. He will then proceed to try and take advantage of you at every turn. His usual behaviors include harassment, failure to make timely repairs, lies about the lease, and eleventh-hour bogus charges and insane rent increases. I am not only summarizing my experience but that of other tenants. If you think this is an exaggeration, do your due diligence and go talk to the current tenants at any one of his properties.

The landlord is a thief and a liar he will find what he can to make sure you can't get your deposit back by nitpicking every single thing. He talks nice and seems nice but it is all a show. He will kick you out for the smallest thing and make it a major deal and is in the process of forcing a couple out with one of them having health problems with no place to go. Stay away from this place because you will be renting from a Devil. I recommend you stay away from Gene Robinson's Stack Rock apartments if you don't want to lose your deposit.

Landlord will look for any excuse to not do repairs and then blame you for the issue. He will try to write out as much responsibility out of the lease as he can. If you press him on repairs he will start harrasing you on nonesense. He also stole the last tenants deposit under bogus charges. This was not a case of he said/she said. They did a walkthrough and he said everything was in order. Changed his mind the following day. He prefers foreign tenants as he believes they do not know the laws.

Not only did Valerie not send my deposit or a deduction list (this is illegal) after moving out, she also did not show up to court when I filed a small claims lawsuit against her. I lived here for three years and the unit was given to me roach-infested. They were living behind the oven between the brick and the wall and in the dishwasher. They were never eradicated. The windows were extremely old and needed replacement as the wind would blow right through them. I had to use the plastic kit to seal the windows to not be cold all the time. Maintenance got worse each year with the front door frequently breaking to where we couldn’t get in/out. Management had constant turnover. Finally, they offered a renewal with a 15% rent increase despite multiple maintenance issues that year. I moved out and had to threaten to sue them to get my deposit back.

Little-to-no insulation, cracks in the ceiling/ walls, very poor air flow, ineffective heating system, septic/plumping issues during rainy weather, serious reoccurring mold outbreaks, unresponsive and unreasonable landlords, with no concept of tenant's rights and local laws. Landlords' repairmen have not done lasting work, and one of them harassed tenants, in the past. (Do not rent this cottage!)

Never experienced such a neurotic and cheap landlord. its actually crazy to me that this person thinks that its okay to make your tenant feel guilty for requesting that servicing and issues are taken care of in a timely fashion and without any hesitation. why would you be a landlord if you are making your tenants feel guilty for wanting the systems in their unit to work. beyond that, the controlling nature and requests made are completely unfair. not allowing window AC units in a house with no cooling during 100 degree days in summer. I can go on for days.

Catherine seems cooperative at first but doesn’t maintain her properties, leading to excessive and unfair deposit deductions. She pushes repair costs onto tenants and raises rent suddenly, with little concern for affordability. Showings are intrusive—she doesn’t respect scheduling, arrives early, stays late, and even used tenants’ furniture in listings without permission. Her repair and cleaning teams seem overpriced, but she just calls it “business.”

She handles maintenance requests but gets frustrated with recurring issues and tries to blame tenants. Lawn care is supposed to be included, but I always have to ask for it, and she expects me to use the mower she left behind. Rent increases by $50 every year, even though the property was bought outright. Most of her properties are old and come with ongoing issues.

Beware of their aggressive collections process! I have a high 700s credit score, never missed a bill, and always pay on time—yet they sent me to collections before I even knew I had a balance. No notice, no warning, just straight to collections. If you rent here, triple-check every charge to avoid a surprise hit on your credit.

Living here was fine, but moving out was a nightmare. They wouldn’t let me end my lease on time, charged double rent for an extra month, raised utilities, and refused to return my deposit or provide an itemized list of deductions. Two years after I moved out, they hit me with an unexpected $200 charge for "repairs" they never mentioned before. During my stay, I dealt with an open dumpster outside my window, broken gates, and my car being broken into twice—but I chalked it up to apartment life. The staff was generally nice, and maintenance was quick (even if some fixes needed redoing), but the second I gave notice, all transparency disappeared. No checklist, no walk-through—just extra fees and frustration. If the move-out process had been fair, I might have recommended them. But with how they handled my departure, I absolutely wouldn’t.

Craig was great at first, but when it came to important repairs, communication became nearly impossible. Getting issues fixed was a hassle, and the contractors he hired didn’t do quality work. Wouldn’t recommend if you expect reliable maintenance.

This management company sent me a three-day notice to vacate based on completely false information—and they didn’t even use a reliable delivery method. They accused me of hiring an "unlicensed plumber" without a permit, when in reality, I paid Texas Renters to install a gas line for a dryer because the unit was advertised with hookups. If that work wasn’t up to code, that’s on them, not me. The landlord, Thomas Upchurch, is completely absent and seems unable to manage his properties properly.

Repairs were ignored unless I threatened legal action. The landlord gave little to no notice before showing up, even after I called it out. The house had black mold, barely any smoke detectors, and major plumbing issues that cost me money. It was clear the place wasn’t maintained before renting it out. The neighborhood is nice, but the house? Not worth it. Wouldn’t recommend.

I was one of the first tenants in this building and during my time here the management company has changed. The staff from both teams were friendly and they offered a great signing promotion. Biggest con here was the underground parking garage. It’s always a pain to bring groceries in but other than that no complaints.

I walked on eggshells my entire residency. Valerie, who is also the neighbor, is not for, financially or mentally to maintain this property. She has made comments about women she saw leave the house, accused me multiple times of having one of them living here, accused me of having a massive party while I was out of town (I lived alone), failed to fix the windows which leak while raining, accused me of being the problem anytime something broke in the house, which is falling apart, told me multiple times that she can’t afford to fix these problems anyways, was in my business all the time including her accusing me of drilling into the walls while I was just vacuuming, banging on the gas pipes while I was just cooking, it goes on and on. After giving my 30 day notice I was guilt tripped about not giving her enough notice, texted constantly past 11pm with bizarre questions like “you are moving things back into the house” (I wasn’t). A nightmare living situation.

Kitchen and yard deck in disrepair. Broken cabinet doors and drawers with evidence of merely being super glued and came off again. Faulty electrical in master bedroom. Landlord cannot send less than 3-4 repeat communications for monthly rent. Landlord and owner refused and failed to make any fixes even with children on the lease. All disrepair remains. House is large but old and needs updating. Rent is a robbery for the condition of the house.

Awesome apartment, quick maintenance, and no issues with the unit. Lived here for a year and felt very safe. Only issue was the mail/package situation. It’s all in the parking garage and easily accessible by outsiders. Had a few packages taken.

I had a disappointing experience with Western Carolina Rentals (WCRentals) and want to share my concerns. My family moved into a property with several unresolved issues, including unaddressed maintenance tasks and missing carbon monoxide detectors, despite them being listed in the lease. The house was also poorly cleaned, with cobwebs and dust, and the heating system was inadequate, making it uncomfortable and unsafe. We faced issues with gas delivery charges and poorly maintained pipes. Despite reaching out, none of the problems were addressed, and we eventually received a refund for our deposit and fees, dissolving the lease. I advise future tenants to carefully document the property's condition and review lease terms to avoid misunderstandings.

Horrible experience. Started off normal-ish but he uses outdated methods for everything and gets angry if you try to communicate in writing. Clearly trying to hide his tracks. Our water heater broke and leaked everywhere. Saeed insisted that “mold doesn’t grow in colorado” and told me that he just replaced the carpet because he’s such a good person. He made every single interaction completely miserable. Do not rent with him.

Terrible experience. Pool floor is green, laundry machines never work and don't get maintenance, dryers do not dry. Cabinet/counter contractors did a terrible job. Apartment had a roach infestation and was told it was a problem from the neighboring unit. Pest control was going, but up until the day I left, there were still roaches. Lived with the roach problem for over 6 months and they were not able to eradicate them. Management is awful and does not care about concerns.

Tim and Judy are extremely nice and helpful. The maintenance guy was amazing. Fixed anything really quickly. Truly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quite nice apartment. Apartment issues -- The air conditioning had a 15 degree differential. If it was 95 outside, it could only get to 80. Just a heads up. The stairs to go upstairs are not covered, so when it iced over, so did our metal stairs. I severely injured my back because of this.

At the time we rented, the landlords were the Bahrs. They were absent often, refused to fix issues, and withheld an inordinate amount of our security deposit for cleaning (after we scrubbed the place). We moved when they tried to raise the rent by over $100, without addressing any of the many problems (including mold).

The Landmanns were good landlords, gave us a discount on rent for maintaining the grass/shoveling snow, and keep the rent at a very reasonable rate for the entire time we lived here. My only complaint is that the deposit was not sent back within the legal timeframe once we moved out, but otherwise it was a lovely place to live.

I have lived here for 8 years. Our landlord is lovely and has always been fair to us. I really appreciate how wonderful she’s been throughout these 8 years. We have a son who is 8 years old and the neighborhood is incredible and the school is amazing. I get to walk or bike with my son to school every day. I am so appreciative of my landlord and appreciate this neighborhood and where we live. Hopefully we have been equally amazing as tenets for her.

We were in a studio here. And the rent was definitely high for the space but doable for us. It is a really old building with a good amount of problems. When it rained there were multiple ceiling leaks. We decided to move and were at the end of our lease and we gave them the legal amount of notice but they tried to tell us we were legally bound to another month. When we moved we found mold had grown everywhere because of the water damage. It was such a nightmare. We moved into a 1 bedroom twice the size for the same price. While they were nice people they were extremely uneducated about local housing laws and unwilling to educate themselves.

The property manager, Todd, is fantastic. All maintenance issues are taken care of immediately. Property owners/Meridian Group sucks, though. They've needlessly raised the rent 10% the last 3-4 years. Pet friendly with an ESA.

Zero stars.!!This is a terrible apartment building. Stay away and don't waste your $3800 rent . We lived here for a year, and it was an awful experience. While the building looks nice on the outside, it’s terrible inside. The floors and walls are so thin. You can hear everything from the upstairs neighbors every footstep from morning to night, dogs barking, and dogs running on your head . If you're sensitive to noise and looking for peace and a healthy living environment, avoid !!you need to sign pages of contracts and community rules that they can't even enforce. Rules mean nothing in reality because they don’t care. The manager, Sharon, is unhelpful and manipulative in her email responses. She told us to notify her when the upstairs neighbors were making noise, claiming she’d handle it immediate. But whenever we did, she would respond, "Oh,But whenever we did, she would respond, "Oh, sorry, I'm 15 minutes away. Try again next time.

Don't move in here, Doug Luu(Live-in landlord) is an animal abusing, wife beating, slumlord and needs to be put on the sex offender registry. I've seen him abuse the neighbors cats by kicking/blasting them with the water hose, go into the female roommates rooms and stand over them as they were sleeping, with some of them moving out after 1 night, and the neighbors telling me how he used to beat his ex-wife all the time. Also, he's a liar that will tell you anything to move into his falling apart home, like he will tell you how much he loves to play pc games(dudes 60+ years old), only to tell you when you move in that he doesn't want you to use any of the outlets in your room because of his shitty wiring and is afraid the house will burn down. I can say so much more, but it would be way too long, Just don't move here.

Roaches, mice, mold, and electrical wiring that needs updated. Every summer, when everyone is running their a.c. (and tv’s, etc), the breaker always trips. Also, had an attorney representing me stated they couldn’t find a business registration listed here in Texas for the property owners. It was a roof over my head until I could do better.

The property management does absolutely nothing in regards to fixing, tree trimming or serious plumbing problems. Not to mention they will treat the rent as an loan to affect your credit score, lie and force eviction even if you pay on the rent. Biggest mistake you could ever make.

Greg Gray is a slumlord. He showed me 1 apt, but the 1 I was given was not 900 sq ft as advertised; it was 660 sq ft. The place was filthy when we moved in. Greg said he had professional cleaners come in, but that was a lie. There was food on the living room wall. It took 3 rounds with a magic eraser to get the outside of the refrigerator clean. We had to do a deep clean. Greg said he had the carpets professionally cleaned; he did not. I purchased a high quality carpet cleaner. After cleaning the carpet the first time, the water looked like chocolate milk. After the 4th cleaning, the water still looked like chocolate milk. The bedroom smelled of cat pee. But it was the mold, mildew, and water that were the worse. There was a film floating at the top of the water. The apt always smelled like mold. I was there for 10 months. I had to throw out baskets and some furniture because of the smell. Shame on Greg Gray.

Janice Morrissey was the worst landlord I have ever had. She was unprofessional, extremely invasive and didn’t respect boundaries even after being asked. Lied to me about amenities and tried to screw me out of money one month. She asked me to do so much of the work that she was responsible for as a landlord and caused me a lot of stress. She even opened my packages. Live anywhere else.

Had a great 3 years here. Only reason we left was that we saved money up to buy a home. There were no pet fees even though we had a beautiful pitbull mix, which the landlords loved. Rent was fairly priced. We had the AC break during our stay and the unit was replaced by a local HVAC company in a couple days. Really top notch landlords

Terrible. Not enough parking and my car got toed for being an inch over the never used handicap spot line when they let an unrunning van sit there for months. A maintenance man moved in near us and we were disruptive one time and he made our life hell after that. Our balcony had structure issues and was unusable. A mower threw a rock into our double plane slider in early August and it wasn't fixed until after we moved out in December despite many visits from maintenance. Management would flirt with my roomate and be cold and rude to the rest of us. Gross and unprofessional.

Terrible. Grass in the summer was flooded constantly. Maintenance came out 3 times to "fix" a drawer and it still never got fixed. Management was rude when I was trying to find a package that was left with them and they tried to give week long inspection windows with Instructions to lock up pets. Rent went up 300$ and we moved out when they tried to do it again. Run away!

The amenities they boast are bottom battel filthy afterthoughts. 4 managers in 2 years and constantly changing phone numbers means i don’t have a contact number any more and I smell gas. Mold on walls painted over dark green. Rust on pool rail painted over rust color. Lied to by head of maintenance that pool is cleaned each Tuesday. I have photos of feces in that pool on Wednesday morning. They dump money into the cheapest decor and design options so they break. The blinds are $50 retail. You’ll be charged $250. Current manager is awful. Nean. Intimidating. Stalks people. Ghosts people in need. And makes critical errors (one tenant even moved out after being denied parking with a handicapped parking plate. Manager told her she wasn’t disabled enough.) Not a community or fun, joyful place to live. People in bldg are nice, keep to selves it’s just a general bad energy. Neighborhood VERY dangerous. Occasional gun violence and bodies. Constant choppers. Do not expert your deposit back.

The house is a bit old but it overall had a great foundation. It is managed by a property management group which made submitting repair requests and getting any type of tenet assistance really difficult. At the time of move out I got to meet the actual owner of the home. He himself was a decent guy and expressed his own disdain for the PM group. The area can get a little active during some hours of the night but overall I was rarely disturbed when living here.

I really enjoyed my time in this cozy studio! The layout was fantastic, and maintenance was always prompt and attentive. The hallways were consistently quiet and clean, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. However, I did have a few drawbacks. Living off the street meant I often woke up early due to garbage trucks at 3 or 4 AM. Additionally, the pool was mostly shaded, making it too cold to use, and there were only one or two lounge chairs in the sun. On the plus side, the location is great—very close to downtown and all its amenities. One thing I found a bit frustrating was the valet trash fee of $35, especially since other apartments offer similar services for $20. That said, I really appreciated the community events they organized each month, which helped foster a great sense of belonging among residents. Overall, it's a lovely place to live with a few minor issues!

The two stars just come from the price and size of the unit you get. First moved in and had roaches already living in the unit, they didn’t let me know that. Water shuts off regularly without notice before hand. Peoples cars get broken into, and management still struggled to keep the enter and exit gates closed and operating correctly. Dog poop is EVERYWHERE, and they do nothing about it. This is a decent deal, but the people managing this place do little to nothing about all the issues.
